He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Lisbon. He previously worked at the Portuguese Public Finance Council as a senior economist. He was also an economist at the IMF, the OECD and the ECB. In the academic field, he has taught at Sciences Po, Paris, the University of Aberdeen and the University of Cambridge, UK, and at Nova University Lisbon. His main areas of research include fiscal policy, forecasting performance, macro-financial linkages and energy economics. He has written numerous studies, with more than 100 academic papers published in prestigious scientific journals.

Professor in the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences at the University of Aveiro, he teaches and researches in the areas of Regional Economics, Regional Planning and Public Policy, in the fields of methods and techniques to support decision-making. He is a member of the Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policy Research Unit, coordinating the Decision Support Systems Group.

He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a postgraduate degree in Data Science & Analytics from NovaIMS. He is a researcher at CERIS, where his work focuses on infrastructure, construction, and real estate economics. He is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico and Co-Founder of StoneBrick, a construction data analytics company. His previous experience includes investment banking and the co-founding of Alfredo Real Estate Analytics.

He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence) and is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Minho School of Economics and Management, a member of the Research Centre for Economic and Business Policies (NIPE) and an external collaborator of the Higher Education Policy Research Centre (CIPES). His main areas of research are labour economics and the evaluation of programmes and public policies. He has published articles in international journals and several books and chapters on these subjects. As a consultant, he has produced several reports aimed at analysing the economic impacts associated with climate change, large-scale projects or events and labour policies on minimum wages, education and employment, both for private and public institutions, such as the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, the Ministry of Economy and the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

He is one of the most important political economists of his generation. His ideas on customised economic growth strategies adapted to local conditions have been hugely influential on governments and multilateral institutions.
He is considered one of the pioneers in warning of the risks of globalisation in his book «Has Globalization Gone Too Far?» His notion of «globalisation trilemma» is now a crucial concept in the debate around the future of the world economy of the future. He was awarded the Princess of Asturias Prize for Social Sciences in 2020.

Researcher at Queen Mary University of London (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoc Fellowship) and Assistant Professor at ISEG. He holds a PhD in Economics from Nova SBE, did part of his research at Harvard (FCT-Fulbright scholarship) and completed the Advanced Studies Programme at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. His research interests include the evaluation of public policies. He has published, among others, in the European Economic Review, the Journal of Urban Economics and the Journal of Economic Geography. He was the scientific advisor for the documentary "Portugal, uma casa para todos" and is one of the authors of the FFMS study "The Real Estate Market in Portugal".

Gonçalo Saraiva Matias is the Minister Adjunct and for State Reform of the XXV Constitutional Government. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the Foundation between september 2022 and june 2025.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, where he also obtained his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees.
He was director of the Catholic Global School of Law and visiting professor at Washington University. He conducted research at the Georgetown University Law School as a Fulbright visiting scholar. Most of his work falls within Regulatory, Administrative, Constitutional and International Law. He was the director of the Migration Observatory, Secretary of State for the Administrative Modernisation of the XX Constitutional Government. He has been advisor for legal affairs to the President of the Portuguese Republic since 2008. In 2016, he was awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Order of Infante D. Henrique. He was born in Lisbon, in 1979.

Economist, specialist in housing and tourism. She taught at the University of Madeira for 10 years and worked as a researcher at ISEG.
She wrote the book "Tourism in Portugal" (2016) and is co-author of Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos study "The real estate market in Portugal" (2022).
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nova University Lisbon, a Master's degree in Economics and European Studies from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) and a PhD in Economics from ISEG. She is a contributor to the "Tempestade perfeita" programme on Rádio Observador and a columnist for the online newspaper "Eco".

He got his PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam/Tinbergen Institute in 2007. He is currently Associate Professor at the University of Minho (U Minho) and Director of the PhD programme in Economics at the same institution. He is also a researcher at NIPE (UMinho), CIPES (UAveiro and UPorto) and the Institute of Labour Economics (IZA), Germany, and assists the Bank of Portugal on a permanent basis. His research focuses mainly on Labour and Education Economics and Applied Econometrics. He has written several academic papers, books and book chapters, and has been published in prestigious journals such as Econometrica, the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Regional Studies and Studies in Higher Education. His work has been cited, among others, in prestigious specialist journals such as Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, the Industrial and Labour Relations Review and Labour Economics. He maintains research collaborations in several countries, leading and integrating research teams that develop funded projects. He has authored policy-oriented reports on minimum wages, education and employment applicable to the Portuguese labour market. He also has extensive experience in consultancy for both private and public institutions.

Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering and Management at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon and Researcher at the Centre for Studies in Innovation, Technology and Development Policies (IN+). His research aims to better understand the performance effects of labour mobility, in particular the value of entrepreneurial human capital at the level of the individual and of the company, as well as its impact on the region.
