Photojournalist, Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies. His works have been published in national and regional newspapers and magazines such as the «Diário de Notícias», «Público», «Sol», «Expresso», «Visão», as well as «Diário de Leiria», «Jornal de Leiria», «Região de Leiria» and many more.
He has had several solo and collective exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. He wrote the book «The Smell of Spices» and co-wrote «The Wool Workers in Leiria District» and «Sensibilities 25». He received the honorary title of Amicus Romaniae from the Romanian Cultural Institute / Romanian Embassy in Portugal in 2018. He won the International Books & Movies Award in 2019.

Economist and vice president of the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF). He was formerly Coordinator of the Technical Budget Support Unit (UTAO). He has also served as Professor of Economics at the University of Minho, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Regional Development and Executive Board Member on the Portuguese Public Finance Council.

Full professor at the department of Sociology at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE) and senior researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES ISCTE). Since 2009, he has also served as scientific coordinator at the Emigration Observatory.
His research interests include sociological theory, international migration and development sociology.
He served on the Management Board of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) (2007–2010).
He is the author of several publications, including «Migration and Integration: Theory and Applications to Portuguese Society» (Celta, 2003) and the «Atlas of Portuguese Emigration» (Mundos Sociais, 2023).

Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Lisbon School of Agriculture (ISA). She got her PhD in 1993 and is a professor at the same school. She directed the Botanic Garden in Ajuda. She designed the amphitheatre and has been in charge of restoration work at Quinta das Lágrimas since 2004. She is an international member of ICOMOS (UNESCO) on the International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes. She founded the Historical Gardens Association in 2002. She is a corresponding member of the Academy of Fine Arts (2016) and was honoured by France with the «Ordre d’Officier des Arts et des Lettres» (2013). She also received a Special Commendation from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He was the 68th US Secretary of State between 2013 and 2017. As the country's chief diplomat, he defined the State Department's strategy for nuclear non-proliferation, combating radical extremism and climate change. His tenure was distinguished by his success in negotiating the nuclear agreement with Iran and the Paris Agreement. Between 1985 and 2013, he was the senator for Massachusetts and between 2009 and 2013 he chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He served in the US Navy, with two tours of duty in Vietnam, for which he received a Silver Star and a Bronze Star for bravery in combat, as well as three Purple Hearts. He graduated from Yale University and specialised in law at Boston College Law School. Author of the bestsellers «A Call to Service: My Vision for a Better America and This Moment on Earth», Secretary of State John Kerry published a memoir entitled «Every Day Is Extra» in 2018. He is currently a Distinguished Fellow for Global Affairs at Yale University, as well as a Visiting Distinguished Statesman at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Sylvia Earle
A Resident Researcher at the National Geographic Society, Sylvia Earle founded the Deep Search Foundation, is Chair of the Advisory Board of the Harte Research Institute and the Marine Science and Technology Foundation and was Lead Researcher for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She has authored over 175 publications, led over 100 expeditions, logged over 7,000 hours of diving and has received over 100 awards in the US and abroad. A graduate of Florida State University, with a master's and doctorate from Duke University, her research focuses on the ecology and conservation of marine ecosystems and the development of deep-water access technologies. Time named her a «Hero of the Planet» and the Library of Congress a «Living Legend». In 2009, she received the TED Prize.
