Alfonso Martínez Arias
Alfonso Martínez Arias is ICREA Research Professor in the department of systems bioengineering of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. The recipient of numerous awards, he is co-author of the biology textbook «Principles of Development», which was awarded the Royal Society of Biology book prize.

Sofia Nogueira Silva
Economist, she has been teaching at the Catholic University of Portugal School of Economics and Management (Porto). She has a PhD in Economics from the University of York (UK). Her main areas of research are Regulation and Health Policy, areas in which she teaches at undergraduate, Master’s and executive training level. She has carried out a number of consultancy assignments for public and private entities, in Portugal and abroad, on various topics related to Health Regulation and Policy.

Economist, he was Director of the School of Economics and Management at the Catholic University of Portugal (Porto). He holds a PhD in Finance from Cass Business School (London). He has research interests and publications in the areas of Financial Market Regulation and Telecommunications. Lead economist in some of the largest merger operations in Portugal and consultant to financial companies, he has carried out various consultancy assignments, particularly in the financial and telecommunications sectors.

Economist, PhD in Management from the University of Cambridge (UK), she has taught several undergraduate and Master’s degree courses in the areas of Management and Law (Catholic University of Portugal School of Economics and Management (Porto)). Her main areas of research are Regulation, Contracts and Legal Methodology. She has taken part in various international projects and worked on several consultancy projects, particularly in the media sector.

Assistant professor (since 2016) and coordinator of Constitutional Law at the Porto Catholic University of Lisbon School of Law. She is also the executive coordinator of the Master’s degree courses in Law (2022), scientific coordinator of the Master’s degree courses in Constitutionalism, Democracy and Human Rights and co-coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Degree in Human Rights.
She is a member of the Coordination Council of the «Academic Network on The European Social Charter and Social Rights» and co-editor of the series «Constitutionalism in Latin America and the Caribbean» (Hart Publishing).
She is a member of the International Society of Public Law and the International Association of Electoral Law. He has carried out consultancy work for public and private entities in Portugal and abroad, on a number of topics related to Regulation and Competition in the telecommunications, financial services and health sectors (among others).
