Director of publications and member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, António Araújo was born in Lisbon in 1966. He obtained a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law at the University of Lisbon and holds a PhD in contemporary history from the Catholic University of Portugal. He was a teacher at the Faculty of Law and teaches now at NOVA FCSH. He is adviser to the Constitutional Court, in unpaid leave, and was consultant to the President of the Republic for political affairs. He is the author of several books and articles in political science, constitutional law and contemporary history. He represents FFMS on the Board of the Portuguese Foundation Center.

She is President of the ISEG Lisbon School of Economics and Management at the University of Lisbon, where she has been a full professor of Finance in the Management department since 2010. She has taught at ISCTE and the University of Oxford. She holds a PhD from the London Business School. Her research areas are corporate finance and corporate governance, and she has published her work in international academic journals. She holds several non-executive directorships and is a corresponding member of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences.

He began his stand-up career with the sketch comedy group Bumerangue in 2013, followed later by Bon Vivant, the solo project that would give its name to his first stand-up comedy show. Since then, he has also been the voice behind the podcast «Who Never?» for Cidade FM, between 2017 and 2019, and toured the country with the show Meta, which sold out venues such as the Tivoli BBVA and Teatro Sá da Bandeira in Porto.
In 2019, he also presented «The Rest of Your Life», a digital documentary combining fiction and reality that relaunched the career of actor João André and obtained over 4 million views on YouTube. This impressive figure served as the tagline for «The Rest of Your Life: The Play».

João Tiago Gaspar joined Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos in 2016, taking on increasing responsibilities within the research team before becoming the Foundation’s head of content and international affairs in 2024. He also serves as editor of «Resumos da Fundação», the Foundation’s book series that decodes its research studies for a wider audience. Before joining the Foundation, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS), as part of the 2015 Portuguese Electoral Study, and as a teaching assistant at NOVA FCSH. He holds a BA in political science and a master’s degree in governance, leadership and democracy studies from the Catholic University of Portugal, where he also completed the curricular phase of a PhD in political science and international relations. His academic path has taken him abroad as an exchange student at the University of Colorado (Boulder) and a visiting student at the University of Oxford (Lincoln College). More recently, he completed the strategic management programme at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

He is a professor and researcher at the Catholic University of Portugal IEP, where he completed his Master’s degree and got his PhD with his thesis «Democracy and Legitimacy in the European Union: The Choice of the President of the Commission». He has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from ISCSP-ULisboa.
He wrote the book «The Portuguese Electoral System: Chronicle of an Overdue Reform» (2009) and the essay «Elections in the European Union», published by Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos in 2019.

He was born in Lisbon in 1962. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (1985) from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) Universidade Técnica de Lisboa – where he won the award for best student of the year in his field – and in Strategic Management in the Context of Innovation (1988) from University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE). He obtained a Master's degree in Heat Transfer and Conversion (1998), and a PhD (1993) and Aggregation (2004) in Mechanical Engineering from IST. President of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and National Director of the MIT-Portugal programme – the largest international partnership in Science and Technology in Portugal in the field of Engineering Systems – and also the main focus area for Sustainable Energy Systems. He is a Full Professor at IST, co-founder of the Centre for Studies in Innovation, Technology and Development Policies (IN+), and was the coordinator of the Sustainable Technologies and Environmental Systems area in the Laboratory of Robotics and Systems in Engineering and Science (LARSyS) at the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR). He has written more than 70 articles published in journals, book chapters and more than 80 papers presented at conferences and lectures in different fields. He has co-organised more than a dozen international conferences and led more than 30 scientific projects in the areas of Energy Efficiency and Industrial Ecology.

He is a researcher at the University of Lisbon Institute of Social Sciences. He got his PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence in July 2002, with a thesis on corruption control policies. He is an international consultant and corresponding researcher for the European Commission in this field. He researches and publishes in international peer-reviewed scientific journals on the following topics: corruption control policies, perceptions, attitudes and practices of corruption, regulation of political ethics, quality of local democracy, regional integration, cross-border cooperation and comparative politics in general.
He co-founded and chaired Transparência e Integridade – Associação Cívica (TIAC), the Portuguese representative of Transparency International. He has published dozens of articles in international journals and has written books such as "Corrupção", published by Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos.

Researcher at Queen Mary University of London (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoc Fellowship) and Assistant Professor at ISEG. He holds a PhD in Economics from Nova SBE, did part of his research at Harvard (FCT-Fulbright scholarship) and completed the Advanced Studies Programme at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. His research interests include the evaluation of public policies. He has published, among others, in the European Economic Review, the Journal of Urban Economics and the Journal of Economic Geography. He was the scientific advisor for the documentary "Portugal, uma casa para todos" and is one of the authors of the FFMS study "The Real Estate Market in Portugal".

Gonçalo Saraiva Matias is the Minister Adjunct and for State Reform of the XXV Constitutional Government. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the Foundation between september 2022 and june 2025.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, where he also obtained his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees.
He was director of the Catholic Global School of Law and visiting professor at Washington University. He conducted research at the Georgetown University Law School as a Fulbright visiting scholar. Most of his work falls within Regulatory, Administrative, Constitutional and International Law. He was the director of the Migration Observatory, Secretary of State for the Administrative Modernisation of the XX Constitutional Government. He has been advisor for legal affairs to the President of the Portuguese Republic since 2008. In 2016, he was awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Order of Infante D. Henrique. He was born in Lisbon, in 1979.

A geographer and researcher, he is an associate professor at the Centre for Geographical Studies at the University of Lisbon Institute of Territorial Geography, where he teaches.
He has devoted himself to urban social studies and research into international migration, particularly the integration of immigrants, gender relations, housing issues and segregation.
He has a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Lisbon and has published several works in Portugal and abroad. He is the Portuguese correspondent for the OECD's Permanent Observation System on International Migration and a member of the editorial committee of the European Network of Excellence IMISCOE – International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion. He is also Vice-President of the Portuguese Demographic Association and a member of the board of the Centre for Geographical Studies.
