Researcher at the University of Lisbon Institute of Social Sciences and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has researched and published extensively in the field of environmental governance in different contexts (Europe, Latin America and China). Currently, her work focuses on the notions of progress, growth and sustainability applied to the future of cities.

Full Professor at the University of Coimbra School of Economics. He is a researcher at the Centre for Business and Economics Research (CeBER) and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labour (IZA). His research focuses on employment, wages, productivity, company dynamics, trade unions and workers' committees. His studies, co-authored with a number of national and international researchers, cover the Portuguese and European realities, with an emphasis on analysing the German labour market.

He has a PhD in e-Planning from the University of Aveiro (UA). He is a researcher in the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences (UA) and is part of the Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies Research Unit. He has carried out research and done work on territorial analysis methods and techniques.

President of the Public Finance Council. Bachelor’s degree in Law (1994) from the University of Lisbon School of Law and in Economics (2015) from Nova SBE – School of Business & Economics. Master's degree (1998) and PhD (2007) in Law, also from the University of Lisbon Law School. Associate Professor at the University of Lisbon School of Law, she has also lectured at several Portuguese and foreign universities and does a lot of research. She has published several books and articles, especially in the fields of Public Finance, Public Budgeting and Social Security.

He is a consultant researcher at the Bank of Portugal's Economic Research Department and a visiting professor at the Nova School of Business and Economics. He is also an external researcher at the Essex Centre for Financial Econometrics, University of Essex, and the Clive Granger Centre for Time Series Analysis, University of Nottingham, both in the United Kingdom.
He has carried out research in the fields of time series, financial econometrics, macroeconometrics and applied macroeconomics. His research has been published in international scientific journals including the "Review of Economics and Statistics", the "Journal of Econometrics", "Econometric Theory", "Econometrics Reviews", the "Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics".

His research focuses on innovation management and business strategy, paying particular attention to how companies manage their knowledge acquisition activities and cooperate with their partners.

She advises decision-makers around the world on sustainable, data-based economic growth.
She has written various books, such as «The Value of Everything: Making and Taking in the Global Economy», «The Entrepreneurial State: Debunking Public vs. Private Sector Myths», and, most recently, «Mission Economy: A Moonshot Guide to Changing Capitalism» (January 2021).

Sociologist and Coordinating Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, she coordinates OBSERVA – Observatory of Environment, Territory and Society. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies. Additionally, she is a member of the National Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS). the European Environment Advisory Council (EEAC) and the Portuguese Council for Health and the Environment (CPSA). She is a regular columnist for the newspapers Expresso and the «Água & Ambiente».
