He is an assistant professor of Political Science at the Nova School of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH-Nova) and an integrated researcher at IPRI-Nova.
He has worked in the field of comparative politics and political behaviour in particular, especially in the field of political participation.
He has published articles in a number of scientific journals such as «Political Geography» and «Representation.
In the Spring 2024 semester he was the FLAD visiting professor at the Department of Government of Georgetown University, in Washington DC.

Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics. He was a research associate at the University of Cambridge and his research focuses on the interaction between micro-heterogeneity and macroeconomic dynamics, particularly on the topics of monetary policy and housing.
He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Economist in the Bank of Portugal’s Economics and Research Department, where he has worked since 2001. He graduated and obtained his PhD in Economics from Nova University Lisbon, where he has taught since 1993. He has also taught at the Nova School of Business and Economics and the School of Law at Universidade Nova, in the areas of Portuguese and European Economics, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. João Amador has been an editor and author of book chapters on the Portuguese Economy and International Trade and has published articles in international scientific journals.

PhD candidate in Sociology at Princeton University, New Jersey. Specialist in statistical analysis. His areas of academic research are Political Economy, Economic Sociology and Race/Ethnicity.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics, he was a senior specialist in Budget and Public Finance at the Ministry of Finance and a visiting professor at the University of Lisbon Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences and the Lisbon School of Economics and Management in the areas of Public Economics and Public Finance. He was secretary-general of the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing and assistant to Ministers of Finance and the Minister of the Republic for the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

Assistant professor in the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism at the University of Aveiro and researcher at CIPES (Higher Education Policy Research Centre). He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Porto and a PhD in Business Sciences from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He works with GOVCOPP – Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies at the University of Aveiro and is an affiliate of the Global Labour Organisation. His research focuses on Labour Economics, Education and Higher Education.

Hugo Carvalho is an engineer and has built his career in the areas of innovation and technology, more recently venturing into the field of artificial intelligence. He was a member of the Portuguese parliament between 2019 and 2024. On the invitation of the government, he led the Taskforce for Licensing Renewable Energy Projects (EMER 2030). He was President of the Portuguese National Youth Council and a member of the Social and Economic Council and of the National Board of Education.

He serves as a special advisor for Europe at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London and special advisor to the think tank The Foundation for Strategic Research (FRS) in Paris.
He has collaborated with several French governments on defence and national security issues and was a Professor of World Politics at Sciences-Po in Paris. He has also served on the advisory bodies of the International Commission on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament, the International Commission for the Balkans and the European Commission.
He was president of the IISS Centre for Security Policy in Geneva and was a Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow at the Bosch Academy in Berlin.
He is the author of several books on national security and terrorism, most recently «The Time of Predators: China, the US, Russia and Us».

Full Professor at the University of Minho and PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina, he teaches and researches in the areas of Macroeconomics, Political Economy and Economic Growth. He has published in scientific journals, including the European Economic Review and the Journal of Development Economics, and has coordinated several scientific projects and consultancy studies. He was President
of the European Public Choice Society.

She is Associate Professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, where she obtained her PhD in Economic and Organisational Sociology and coordinated the «Break Even» project (2014-2016), focused on promoting gender equality in companies.
She is currently coordinating the project «Women on Boards: An Integrative Approach», funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES).
She is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Research in Economic and Organisational Sociology, where she coordinates the Organisations, Work, Employment and Gender research line.
She was President of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality in 2010, a body to which she remains attached as a member of the advisory board in her capacity as an expert in women's rights, non-discrimination and citizenship.
She coordinated the European Sociological Association’s research network «Gender Relations in the Labour Market and the Welfare State» and remains a member of the network's scientific committee. She has served on the board of the European Institute for Gender Equality, the European Union's High-Level Group on Gender Mainstreaming and the Economic and Social Council.
