Ana Catalano Weeks
Associate Professor at the University of Bath. Previously she was a College Fellow in the Department of Government at Harvard University, where she taught and did research. She was also a researcher at the Harvard Kennedy School's Women and Public Policy programme (WAPPP). She holds a PhD in Political Science from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics (Europe) from the LSE and a BA in Government from Dartmouth College.

Senior lecturer in the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Richmond. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she worked as a researcher and university lecturer. She is a correspondent for the Portuguese press, first for the «Diário de Noticias» and, since 2001, for the weekly «Expresso» newspaper.

Full Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Minho. Since 2012 she has been a visiting professor at the University of São Paulo (DCP and IRI). She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent in the UK. She is the author and coordinator of several books and has published a significant number of articles in leading international journals, such as the "Journal of Common Market Studies", "Cambridge Review of International Affairs", "European Security", "Journal of Contemporary European Studies", "International Politics", "Journal of European Integration" and "Cooperation and Conflict".
In October 2010 she was awarded the 'UTL/Santander Totta Scientific Prize 2010' for her research activity in the scientific area of International Relations.

Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto. Her main fields of study are Macroeconomics, International Finance and Economic Growth and Development. Before joining the University of Toronto, she worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. She was also a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University and CEMFI. She got her PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester in 2001.

Fernando Casal Bértoa
Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, UK. Previously, he was a Nottingham Research Fellow at the same university and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leiden. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University Institute of Florence and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) and in Political Science from the University of Salamanca (Spain).
He has devoted himself to comparative politics, with a focus on party regulation, party financing, democratic constitutional design, party development, institutionalisation of the party system and the promotion of democracy.

His research interests focus on issues of comparative politics in the European context, with a particular focus on the politics of international migration and far-right parties.

Ana Espírito-Santo
She holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence, she is an assistant professor at ISCTE-IUL and a researcher at CIES-IUL. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences, ICS, as a Junior Visiting Researcher at the Social Science Research Centre in Berlin and as a Junior Researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid. She was an Assistant Lecturer at the Birkbeck, University of London. She has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Political Science. Her main areas of research are: gender and politics, comparative politics, political representation, electoral systems, methodology and data analysis.
