Member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Before taking up her post at the FCT, she worked as a Technical Specialist in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of State for Trade in the Ministry of the Economy of the 21st Constitutional Government. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG), University of Lisbon, in 1993, and holds a Master's degree in International Economics from the same institution. She has extensive experience in budgetary planning and control, as well as in monitoring and evaluating public policies, particularly those financed by European funds. She was also a consultant/economist at Augusto Mateus & Associados – Sociedade de Consultores, now Ernst & Young (EY), essentially in the field of designing, evaluating and monitoring public programmes and policies.
