Ana Carina Silva
Environmental biologist, PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies, with a specialisation in Environmental Sciences. As a Junior Researcher at Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), she follows a transdisciplinary approach in order to bridge the gap between Natural Sciences and Economics, seeking to improve biodiversity conservation and environmental management in general. Her interests focus mainly on the total costs and benefits of the different uses of ecosystems.
Her research work focuses on the use and non-use values of coastal and marine ecosystem services and their valuation, using revealed and stated preference techniques to inform decision-making.

Renato Rosa
He holds a Bachelor’s degree and PhD in Economics from the Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), is a Principal Investigator at Nova SBE and Scientific Co-Director of the Nova SBE Environmental Economics Knowledge Centre. He worked at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, from 2008 to 2011, where he developed research in the area of integrating forestry, agriculture and land use topics into numerical macroeconomic models. In 2018, he was awarded a Scientific Employment Stimulus grant (Principal Investigator) and, in 2012, he was awarded an FCT early career research grant in the FCT Investigator Competition. His research interests focus on the study of renewable resources and ecosystem services, with an emphasis on the formulation of multidisciplinary bioeconomic models. He has published research work in prominent journals in the field and has been an invited speaker at various universities, seminars and workshops. His joint work with fisheries and forestry scientists has recently produced two bioeconomic models for Portuguese forests and a bioeconomic model for Ibero-Atlantic sardine stocks. In the academic field, he has taught at Nova SBE, the University of Aveiro and the University of Venice Ca'Foscari.

Flora Marchioro
She is a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Lugano (Switzerland), a field in which she completed her Master’s degree at the Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), specialising in public policy. She graduated from Nova SBE in January 2021 with a thesis on the impact of tax incentives on the adoption of electric vehicles in Europe, for which she received the highest grade. In addition to economics in the public sector, his areas of interest range from environmental and resource economics to energy markets. Before starting her PhD programme, she worked in the consulting sector as an information and market research analyst, and also at Nova SBE's Environmental Economics Knowledge Centre.

Til Dietrich
He recently graduated from the Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) with a Master's degree in Economics. Before that, he studied Economics and Business Management at Maastricht University, with a semester based in Chile. Alongside his studies, he gained work experience at GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, Germany), where he worked on the international development of green bond markets, and at Triodos Bank, where he was involved in financing renewable energy projects. Dietrich currently works as a research assistant at Nova SBE's Environmental Economics Knowledge Centre and as an independent information analyst. An environmental enthusiast, his interests focus on the social equity issues inherent in the transition to a more sustainable society. He loves outdoor sports, cooking and delving into the philosophy of human behaviour.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics (with distinction) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Master's degree and a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He is currently an Associate Professor (on leave) at the University of Lisbon Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) and a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He is a member of the Unit for Studies on Complexity in Economics (UECE) and the Research in Economics and Mathematics (REM) consortium, both at ISEG. Previously, he was a senior economist in the research department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). His research work has been published in leading academic journals and cited in public presentations by prominent policymakers, as well as in renowned newspapers and magazines such as The Economist, the Dow Jones News, the Financial Times, the Washington Post, the Herald Tribune, the Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Valor Econômico and the Expresso. With Maurice Obstfeld, he co-edited the book "Meeting Globalisation's Challenges", published by Princeton University Press in 2019.

Hélder Costa
Hélder Costa has a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and a PhD in Economics from the University of Minho (UMinho) and a research grant from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Between 2016 and 2017, he worked as an advisor to the Rectorate of UMinho.
His research interests focus on labour economics, and he was the author of an article published in the Regional Studies journal and co-author of a book on the Portuguese economy.

Joana Vasconcelos
Joana Vasconcelos is an Associate Professor at the Catholic University of Lisbon School of Law, where she graduated and got her Master’s degree and PhD. She teaches Labour Law and Procedural Labour Law on the Bachelor's and Master's courses at the same institution. She was a consultant for the Legal Centre of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and was a member of the team that prepared the Preliminary Draft of the Labour Code. She works regularly with other national law faculties and institutions on postgraduate and advanced training courses in labour law and labour procedural law, and regularly participates in colloquiums, congresses and conferences in the same areas. Joana Vasconcelos works as a legal consultant with Miranda & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados and has written several monographs and numerous published articles on employment law and procedural law.

Joaquim Oliveira Martins
He holds a PhD in Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and is a researcher at the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS), UK. He is currently a consultant at the Centre for Prospective Studies and International Information (CEPII), Paris, and a Professor at the University Paris Dauphine-PSL. Previously, he was Deputy Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE) at the OECD. He has written several academic articles and OECD publications on trade and competition, productivity and growth, environmental issues, structural policy complementarities and regional policies.

João Tovar Jalles
He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Lisbon. He previously worked at the Portuguese Public Finance Council as a senior economist. He was also an economist at the IMF, the OECD and the ECB. In the academic field, he has taught at Sciences Po, Paris, the University of Aberdeen and the University of Cambridge, UK, and at Nova University Lisbon. His main areas of research include fiscal policy, forecasting performance, macro-financial linkages and energy economics. He has written numerous studies, with more than 100 academic papers published in prestigious scientific journals.
