Bio
She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent, UK, and is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies and Professor of International Relations at the University of Coimbra School of Economics. She is also a visiting professor in the Postgraduate programme in International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. She is President of the Assembly of the School of Economics and a member of the Scientific Council for Social Sciences and Humanities of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). She was the coordinator of the Jean Monnet PRONE Centre of Excellence and holds a Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Coimbra. Her research interests focus on peace studies, foreign policy, international security, the European Union and the post-Soviet space.
