Carla Sofia Esteves
Research fellow at CUBE - Católica Lisbon Research Unit in Business and Economics. She has a degree in Social and Organizational Psychology (Iscte-IUL) and a PhD in Social Psychology (Iscte-IUL). Her research focuses on intergroup relations, minorities, inclusion/exclusion, stereotypes, and ageism, in terms of the factors that mitigate and exacerbate it.

Professor of Leadership at Vlerick Business School (Belgium). He has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from University College London (UK) and has an MBA and a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from the University of British Columbia (Canada).
His research interests include organisational justice, age diversity, management communication and effective teams. His studies have been published in leading international academic journals.

Journalist at the Público newspaper since 2017, he previously worked at the «Observer» and «O Corvo» newspapers.
His interest in and taste for local journalism first came to light when he was an intern at a television channel in Barcelona and grew stronger in Lisbon, where he wrote about everything about life in the capital.
He has reported from several European cities, including Kyiv under threat from bombs, but his most outstanding work is done in Lisbon. He won the Journalism and Local Power Award from the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities in 2016 and 2019.

Professor at the University of Lisbon School of Human Motricity.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology and a PhD in Motor Sciences. She was a Physical Education teacher for 15 years. She has several national and international publications in the areas of motor development, motor skills, perception and action, independence of mobility, the importance of play, risk and child safety.

Esther Duflo
An economist and the youngest recipient of the Nobel Prize for Economics, which she received in 2019 for her work in the fight against global poverty.
She holds the Abdul Latif Jameel Chair in Development Economics and Poverty Reduction at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). She is also co-founder and co-director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
Her research seeks to understand the economic lives of those living in poverty, in the hope of helping to design and evaluate social policies for reducing inequalities. Her work addresses areas such as health, education, the environment, governance and equal opportunities to access financial services.
She is the co-author of the books «Good Economics for Hard Times» and «Poor Economics: A Radical Rethinking of the Way to Fight Global Poverty».
She was recently appointed President of the Paris School of Economics. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.

She was a Público journalist for about 20 years. She wrote the novel «Terrinhas», which received the Agustina Bessa-Luís Revelation Award in 2021. She has written three non-fiction books, which are on the National Reading Plan: «Crazy things», «Your Father’s Name is not Sergeant» and «Daddy, Were You Afraid?»
She was among the finalists of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Journalism Prize twice (2015 and 2016). She received the King of Spain International Prize for Journalism in 2015, the Gazeta Multimedia Prize (2014), the AMI-Journalism Award against Indifference (2015) and the Orlando Gonçalves Literary Prize (2016).
