She was born in Lisbon in 1975. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra. She was a journalist, mainly in the areas of European funds and the economy, for the Expresso newspaper.
She was an advisor to the Ministries of Finance and Culture. At the Augusto Mateus & Associados consultancy firm, she coordinated the Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos study: 25 years of European Portugal: the economy, society and structural funds.
