He was a legal advisor to the National Centre for Consumer Conflict Information and Arbitration and took part in the research team for the Study on Economic Justice in Portugal. He has published several texts in the areas of Civil Procedure Law, Consumer Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution and has taught on several courses in these areas.

He was born in Lisbon in 1979. He graduated (2002) and got his PhD (2011) from the Nova School of Law in Lisbon. He is a researcher in the areas of Civil Law, Civil Procedural Law and Comparative Legal Systems, with around thirty published works.

She was born in Lisbon in 1975. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra. She was a journalist, mainly in the areas of European funds and the economy, for the Expresso newspaper.
She was an advisor to the Ministries of Finance and Culture. At the Augusto Mateus & Associados consultancy firm, she coordinated the Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos study: 25 years of European Portugal: the economy, society and structural funds.

Visiting Professor of Economics at the College of William and Mary, which he has been affiliated to since 2011. He got his PhD in Economics from the University of the Algarve in 2012. His areas of interest include Microeconomics, Energy and Environmental Economics and Econometrics. His publications include more than 15 scientific articles in these areas.

Professor of Economics at the College of William and Mary, where he has taught since 1995. He holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Economics from Stanford University (1987). He works on public economics, particularly infrastructure, environmental policy and social security reform. He has published more than 90 articles in scientific journals, as well as eight books on topics related to the Portuguese economy.
