The main exporting sector of the country, tourism has performed well in the context of the national reality. Destination Portugal is fashionable. This book reflects on the sustainability of the positive results of recent years, on what we are as a tourism product and what sets us apart from our direct competitors. Portugal enjoys very favourable conditions for the development of tourism; however, its success presupposes that strengths and weaknesses will be recognised and that threats and opportunities will be identified.
