He is a researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology of the University Institute of Lisboa (CIES-Iscte) and a professor in the department of Social Research Methods at the same university.
He has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Florence and coordinates the South European Governments Project (SEGov) and the Presidential Cabinets Project (PresCab).
