(1928-2022) He was a full professor, retired, of Tropical Agronomy at the University of Lisbon School of Agriculture (ISA-UTL) and postgraduate studies at the Catholic University of Portugal. He has written several hundred research, technical and dissemination works, published in Portugal and abroad, particularly in the area of tropical agricultural science.
