An agronomist with a degree from the University of Évora, he owns Herdade da Parreira, an estate of over 800 hectares in Montemor-o-Novo, as well as the company Bovicer – Bovinos e Cereais, Lda., which produces 220 hectares of irrigated fodder crops and autumn-winter cereals, rears beef cattle and manages a considerable area of cork oak and holm oak forests. The company follows conservation agriculture practices, prioritising soil conservation.
