"He was born in 1976 and has been a journalist for 15 years. He writes in Notícias Magazine and teaches journalism at Lusófona University in Lisbon. He was on the founding team of Focus magazine and works with several newspapers and magazines, both in Portugal and abroad. He has interviewed the Dalai Lama and the leader of a gang of arms traffickers, the President of Brazil and the gravedigger at an Iraqi cemetery. His stories are usually about human rights, minorities and anything related to counterculture – and they have already been recognised with journalism awards from the European Union and UNESCO, among others. He studied at the Committee of Concerned Journalists in Washington DC and at Nova University Lisbon. «Accursed» is his third reportage book.
