Bio
Professor and researcher at the University of Lisbon School of Human Motricity, where he coordinates a research group that studies health behaviour and its determinants.
He was president of the «International Society of Behavioural Nutrition and Physical Activity» and director of the National Programme for the Promotion of Physical Activity (DGS).
He has a Master’s degree in Exercise and Health and a PhD in Nutrition Sciences. He has been studying associations and mechanisms of change in behaviours such as diet and physical activity after psychedelic experiences since 2020. He was the research director at the «Synthesis» Institute in the Netherlands and is the founder of the website for the dissemination of science, medicine and psychedelic culture: www.safejourney.pt.
