Assistant professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, where he is currently co-coordinator of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Industrial Engineering and Management and a researcher at the Centre for Management Studies (CEGIST).
From 2020 to 2022, he served as Director of Labour Market Statistics at Portugal’s National Statistics Institute (INE – Instituto Nacional de Estatística).
His primary research interests lie in labour economics, innovation and entrepreneurship, and the economics of sport. His work has been published in various academic journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Tourism Management Perspectives, Regional Studies and The Service Industries Journal.
