She holds a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2016). She is an assistant researcher at the University of Lisbon Institute of Social Sciences (ICS), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (CEEC Individual), and a visiting assistant professor at the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences. She is the coordinator of the PhD in Population Sciences (ULisboa) at the ICS and a member of the Scientific Committee. Her research focuses on the demography of housing, demographic ageing and, more recently, the study of Portuguese emigration to the USA.
