Bio
Pedro Camões holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina and is assistant professor in the department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences at the University of Aveiro.
He teaches and researches in the fields of decentralisation and local government, having published around twenty articles in international journals.
His consultancy work includes studies for the Directorate-General for Local Authorities, the Ministry of the Economy of Portugal, the Municipality of Porto and the OECD.
He has also served as an adviser to the Government of Mozambique as part of state decentralisation projects led by the World Bank.
