Bio
He is the author of several hugely influential books, such as «The Third Chimpanzee» (1991), «Weapons, Germs and Steel» (1997, winner of the Pulitzer Prize), «Collapse» (2005) and «The World Until Yesterday» 2012). His most recent, «The Third Chimpanzee for Young People: The Evolution and Future of the Human Animal», is aimed at coming generations and the future they will build. Blending anthropology, sociology and evolutionary biology, Diamond highlights how we can improve contemporary society by learning from the past. As well as receiving prestigious awards, The New York Times considers his writing to be «one of the most important projects undertaken by an intellectual of our generation».
