Climate change: A possible future

50 min
Watch episode

Portugal is particularly vulnerable to climate change. In the last two decades, the country has lost around 20% of its water resources. This trend will intensify, forcing various economic sectors to formulate solutions for mitigating the impacts without harming productivity.

Fighting climate change means abandoning the current economic model based on fossil fuels and accelerating the transition towards renewable energies.

For the Portuguese economy, this path represents an opportunity to create new businesses dedicated to managing natural resources, advancing the scientific and technological system and creating innovative companies that develop products and services capable of competing on the international market.

How is the country preparing for climate change? The answers are in this documentary, a co-production between the Foundation and RTP.
