Professor at the London School of Economics School of Public Policy. His research concerns the economics of organizations, knowledge and artificial intelligence.
He is the co-author of «Messy Jobs: The Work That AI Cannot Reach» (2026), co-founder of the Rhine Group, a group of European entrepreneurs, policy makers and academics chaired by Mario Draghi and Patrick Collison.
He served as a member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2022.
