She is a writer and author of novels, short stories, chronicles and plays. Her awards include the Fernando Namora/Estoril Sol Literary Prize, the PEN Clube Fiction Award, the dst Grand Prize in Literature and the Tavares Rodrigues Urban Novel and Romance Award. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and was a secondary school teacher. She was born in Lisbon in 1954.
