Author, journalist and consultant best-known for his collaboration with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. After Labour's victory in the 1997 elections, he became Blair's chief press secretary and official spokesman, responsible for coordinating government communications. After another election victory, he was appointed Director of Communications and Strategy, a post he held until his resignation in 2003. However, Campbell again collaborated with the Labour leaders (Blair, Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband) in the following three elections. He was also a consultant for the Better Together campaign against Scottish independence and for Remain in the Brexit referendum campaign.
