Her research focuses on topics such as desertification, climate change and natural disasters. She is a member of the National Commission to Combat Desertification and the Lisbon Academy of Sciences.

Associate professor in the Department of Geography (UMinho) and Researcher at CECS (Centre for Studies in Communication and Society), he focuses his scientific activities on forest fires, natural risks and erosion processes. He is currently the director of the Department of Geography at the University of Minho and was the president of the Portuguese Association of Geographers (APG) from 2020 to 2022.

A biologist, he has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Plant Physiology and a PhD in Plant Systematics and Morphology (ethnobotany) from the University of Coimbra. He is a coordinating professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, where he founded and directed the Botanical Museum. Researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History at FCSH – Nova University Lisbon / University of Évora. Visiting Scholar at Harvard University.

Maria Amélia Martins-Loução
Biologist, emeritus professor at the University of Lisbon School of Sciences, researcher at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) and President of the Portuguese Ecology Society. She has a PhD in Biology and an aggregation in Ecology, as well as a Master's degree in Science Communication. She is the author of more than 250 works (chapters, books, articles and dissemination texts).

He has worked in consumer policy for about 40 years. In addition to his work, he was an association representative, having served on the Consumer Advisory Committee, in the European Commission and on the board of the European Consumers’ Association. He was the author of television and radio programmes, as well as several works in the specific field of consumption.
He often works with regional press and blogs and does voluntary work with consumer associations as their representative. Since 2006, he has also devoted himself to studies on the Portuguese colony in Guinea and political life in Guinea-Bissau, subjects on which he has published a number of books.

Born in 1947, he graduated in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon and led several Ministries in different governments (Internal Affairs, National Defense and Foreign Affairs). He was Member of Parliament from 1975 to 2011, were he held office as Speaker, consequently becoming a member of the Council of State. Presently, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Lisbon University and of the Strategy Board of the Political Studies Institute of the Lisbon Catholic University. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Military University Institute and of the High Council of the Navy’s Centre for Strategic Studies. He also belongs to the Aspen Ministers Forum. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Novo Banco Azores and Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the electronic newspaper Observador. He is Senior Strategic Counsel at Albright Stonebridge Group. He was awarded several Portuguese and foreign decorations. He received the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of the Azores and is Chancellor of the Ancient Portuguese Military Orders.

Inês Lopes Gonçalves is a radio and television host. On the radio she is currently one of Rádio Renascença's «As Três da Manhã», and on television she hosts the talk show «Traz Pr'á Frente» on RTP and RTP Memória.
She has been one of the faces of the Festival da Canção since 2017. She began her career in information as a journalist at Rádio Renascença, worked for Sport Tv, Canal Q and collaborated with Time Out, Sábado and Expresso magazines.

António Araújo
Director of publications and member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, António Araújo was born in Lisbon in 1966. He obtained a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law at the University of Lisbon and holds a PhD in contemporary history from the Catholic University of Portugal. He was a teacher at the Faculty of Law and teaches now at NOVA FCSH. He is adviser to the Constitutional Court, in unpaid leave, and was consultant to the President of the Republic for political affairs. He is the author of several books and articles in political science, constitutional law and contemporary history. He represents FFMS on the Board of the Portuguese Foundation Center.
