He has a PhD in Political Science, specialising in International Relations, from the University of Lisbon Institute of Social Sciences (ICS, ULisboa) and a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Nova School of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH-UNL).

He has a PhD in Sociology and is an ISCTE professor and researcher. He is the coordinator of the Thematic Section on Classes, Inequalities and Public Policies of the Portuguese Sociological Association, a member of the Inequalities Observatory, deputy director of the Mundos Sociais publishing house, national advisor to the European Science programme Horizon Europe and scientific coordinator of the Popular Associations Observatory. He researches social inequalities, social classes, collective action, work, well-being, education, development, the welfare state, public policies, the digital society and artificial intelligence.
She is a professor at the University of Lisbon School of Psychology and has a PhD in Community Social Psychology from ISCTE-IUL. She has extensive research experience in the area of defining public policies through the design, implementation and evaluation of intervention programmes.

Her research focuses on basic socio-cognitive processes and their application to different social problems and contexts. She has held academic and scientific management positions: the Department of Social and Organisational Psychology, the Master's degree course in Social and Organisational Psychology and the PhD programme in Psychology. She was also vice-director of CIS-IUL and President of the Portuguese Psychology Association.

He holds a "European Doctorate in Communication Sciences" from the Catholic University of Portugal (research supported by FCT) and a Master's degree in Communication Sciences: Communication, Organisation and New Technologies from UCP with the support of the European Union's Alban programme.

He is a member of the European COST Network and a member of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences SOPCOM – where he coordinates the Organisational and Institutional Communication Working Group – and of the international networks IAMCR, ECREA and LUSOCOM.

His research seeks to understand the dynamics of politicisation and contestation of the European Union and the process of integration in the European Parliament. He has participated in several international research projects.

His general research agenda is to identify transition paths towards more sustainable contexts and practices, in a broad vision of sustainability that includes improving social relations and our relationship with the environment.

She works with the Directorate General for National Defence Policy as a researcher in the preparation of studies, advice and documentation on CSDP, Strategic Compass, EU-NATO, Defence Economy, CIVMIL, maritime security, Sahel, EU-Africa, hybrid threats, European Peace Facility.
She holds a PhD in History, Security and Defence Studies, a Master’s degree in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe (Bruges) and a postgraduate degree in Classical Studies (University of Lisbon).
He holds a PhD in Global Studies from the Nova University Lisbon School of Social Sciences and works as a researcher at IPRI-Nova. His recent research on the concentration of penal colonies, rural development and colonial institutional change has been published in the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth Studies, the Portuguese Studies Review and Comparativ. He was also a member of the CEI-ISCTE research team responsible for collecting data and analysing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the external dimension of Portuguese sovereignty (project funded by Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos).
