Vítor Cardoso: The cosmos is not that simple

29 min
Watch episode

How old is the Universe? How was it born? How will it end? Why are we here? What are black holes and what do they do? In this «It’s not so simple» interview , astrophysicist Vítor Cardoso explains how today much of what we once thought was science fiction «is now science».

«In the last three decades, we've learned that the universe is expanding, faster and faster, and today we know how fast. (...) We've seen black holes and signs of Earth-like planets. We now know that space travel is possible and what kind of technology we need to make it happen,» he says in this interview moderated by journalist Pedro Pinto.

«It's Not That Simple» brings you today's big issues, simplified by leading experts.

Because in a time of dizzying information, sometimes you have to pause before you can understand. Because not everything is that simple.
